I miss the old search box at the bottom of the threads. I searched for Boston and got 'first 100 results' for 4 pages. So I had to back track. Here's a duplicate of page 24 from this thread. Will they do an about turn or toss or spin after the camera caught the moment? It's been 40 years since I spun a rifle at I&E. Maybe those that know will say so. Boston Crusaders 1977. I have one of those "trivia" type brains, and some training in the history field, so I once tried to write a history of drum corps, but many others have done a much better job of it that I ever could. So much for that ambition. During my research I tried to reach an understanding of some of the murky events that have occurred over the years. One of these was the "Great 1957 VFW Finals dust up", in Miami. I noticed that the subject came up on this thread about a year ago, (post # 17970 to be exact). The poster brought up a few things that I had not been able to unearth before. I HAVE a bit of info from my own research, and wonder if there is a more appropriate thread on which to discuss it? Or should I start my own? Or, is it even right, or of any interest to anyone to dredge up this, and a lot of other stuff, (e.g. The Reveries 1966 sit down at the VFW), and rehash it all over again? Jim Thanks for the Reply, Jim. That was kinda the way I was leaning. I only brought it up here because it was mentioned here earlier, in a general sort of way. I know I enjoy endless re-hashing of long-dead issues, but I fully realize that many people don't find it all that enthralling. I'll give it a try in a new thread and see what happens. It's all history, or in many cases, fable. And there is always the chance that some people could take umbrage even after all these years. I hope that doesn't happen. If it does get heated I'll close it down quicker than you can say "Moderator". I think a title like "Feeding a Dead Horse" might be appropriate.
