I sincerely want to thank you all for wishing me a happy birthday - but most of all I want to thank all of you at DCP for your support and for your love of drum corps - I guess it's clear how fond I am of LancerFi - but this week has been a very life-changing experience for me - I am once again a patriot - and am so honored and proud and very humbled to be doing what I'm doing. It's very hard to explain and maybe even harder to understand the motivation behind what I'm doing. Perhaps because it isn't about ME. It's about Serving others, in ways that most wouldn't understand or appreciate. I want all of you to know that the Foreign Service isn't for everyone, it's very dangerous, it's almost impossible to get into, it requires a great deal of personal sacrifice, it's not a "normal" job, and yet it's extremely important if we are to remain the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave. I have met some very brave, dedicated, hard working, patriotic Americans, and am honored and grateful to be back in their fold.
