rogerbaby2001
I saw both shows and there was not a 12 point difference in performances as far as I could tell ...hard to see anything in Woodburn with all 12 rows of bleachers to use to get on top of a show! but a different story in Hillsboro Stadium ...home of the Killer Acoustics! OC has new uni's , a huge Division 1 sized horn section (8-10 contras anyone?) Great confidant attitude the only thing they left in EDivision 3 was their Drums ....they must have all gone to different camps....that will be their boat anchor this season ...they have great techs but they haven't gotten any better than when I saw them practice two months ago ....they will be cleen mean and green in august ...lets just hope they either get together on some drum parts or get out their can and throw some water on some very very good beats! Center X
well the 10.3 in guard & 12.2 in percussion don't really stand up with the Div 2 corps. Looks like theless developed sections from 04 continue. Also brass is back to a 14.2....

Marc66
New uniforms, again? Didn't they just get new unis last year?
Strutters '72
New uniforms, again? Didn't they just get new unis last year? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Their uniforms are the same as last year. They're so cool and fresh looking, they just look like new! A bit of info on the hornline. There were 29 returning vets out of 30, so there's lots of depth in the section. They have two rookies that solo, adding even more depth. One on flugle horn and one screaming sop. Here's the numbers: 18 Sops 10 Mello 10 Bari 9 Euph 10 Contra I think their show is beautiful! The drill is quite intricate and moves very quickly. A little more polish and they'll start scoring the points they deserve.
dkadc
OC's guard scored at 14.0 in Boise! Perhaps I am a bit too excited about it...and call me an optimist...but if you take the highest scores so far in brass, guard and percussion...and put it all together in one show... Do you know what that spells? I sure don't, but a four point jump in a single show is incredible. WAY TO GO, OC GUARD!
Strutters '72
Now it gets interesting! 74.150 in Rexburg, ID tonight. I charted the show scores for BDB, SCVC, Fever and the OC comparing all first, second, third....etc. shows for each. BDB and SCVC had both done 9 shows before OC had performed their first. It's conceivable that if the OC had started at the same time as the other west coast Div.II corps, the OC would have won every show by a comfortable margin (except for the first show in Woodburn). GO OC!!!!!!!!!!
