I was told if they did good with there Independent Drumline this past winter and can get sponorships and etc. There might be a chance they would return in 2006 season. As such, we decided on euphs rather than baritones to give a little more depth to the sound. To have a front ensemble and a decent battery and guard, and still stay under 70 members you cannot have everything (darn!). We tentaitively plan on 8 to 10 trumpets, 6 mellophones, 4 euphs, and 4 tubas. That would be 24 brass. 13 in the battery, 8 to 10 in the pit, 4 to 5 plates (depending on the auditions) and 15 to 20 guard members and a DM. All subject to change of course. BTW, I don't believe Eklipse has any intention of puting a corps on the field in 2006 or in the near future. They have an outstanding Winter Guard program which is the main focus at the moment.
