bluecoats88
It's funny I read the cavies article and followed the link to the Bears website since it said for more information, and I can't find a single mention of this on the bears website anywhere. I guess the Bears aren't all that excited about this.
patblamo
Hey Jeff, you belittle the Cavies dynasty by stating that the Bears have one? …but great news to have more DCI involvement in the NFL stadiums! Sluggo
um...read it again... "Find more information about the Chicago bears on their official Web site." It's not find more information about The Bears Drum Corps on their official webs site, it says 'find more information about the CHICAGO BEARS on their website. BOBSMYTH
Chicago Drum Corps and Chicago Football - doesn't get much better than that. Even us die hard Chicago sports fans would be hard pressed to use the word dynasty regarding our teams (Michael Jordan's Bulls being the exception). It is more like they've tried to corner the market on futility: 1908 - last time the Cubs won the World Series (longest streak in the NL) 1917 - last time the Sox won the World Series (longest streak in the AL) 1945 - last time the Cubs were in the World Series 1958 - last time the Sox were in the World Series 1961 - last time the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup (longest streak in the NHL) You get the idea. Even the Bears are coming up on the 20th anniversary of their one and only Super Bowl appearance (but they did win!). Maybe some of the excellence of the Cavaliers can rub off. mobrien
1958 - last time the Sox were in the World Series <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Off by a year. It was '59. B) Put in playoff appearances by Chicago teams over the years, and the picture isn't nearly as bleak as it is when only championships are recorded. Take the series of seasons the Bears had from 85-88, and you're looking at one of the biggest winning percentages of any professional sports team over a four year period (for the record, they followed up the 1985 15-1 season by going 13-3, 11-4 (strike killed off one game), and 12-4 - winning 81% of their games over those years). There's no reason to discount that achievement simply because they didn't win a ring at the end of each of those years. Ok, back to topic... :P

Galen
"Soo, ahh, I laik deh Cavvies... 242, Cadets 6. How 'bout yous?""Aah, Cavvies in a tight one. Thay beet da crosstowners 485.6 to 9." :) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "I gotta disagree with ya on that one, Pat. Sure, da Cavvies are phenomenally conditioned and they always have a good running game. But let's face it, they wear green uniforms. And history has shown that teams that wear green uniforms are never any good. So I'm gonna call it Bears 27, Cavvies 3" :)
sburstall
Sad part is that Matt is stating the truth. How far have the Falcons gone before changing thier colors?
