The Official 2006 Repertoire Suggestion Thread

Recommended Posts

Alrighty ... instead of having a separate thread for every individual corps (there've been at least four already, I think), how 'bout we post our various repertoire suggestions for next season all in once place (i.e. here). :)

OK, just a few thoughts on what I'd like to see corps do in 06....

Cadets: Bring back Appalachain Spring....

Cavaliers: Music from the movie Independence Day

Phantom: The best of music from the Baroque Era (should prove interesting)

Blue Devils: A salute to the music of Buddy Rick and Maynard Ferguson

Bluecoats: Blue Rondo Ala Turk, and a compilation of music from Bill Chase

Madison Scouts: Exploration of the music of Arturo Sandoval

Blue Knights: hmmmm....no idea

Santa Clara Vanguard: Music of Alfred Reed (Giligia, Praise Jerusalem, Armenian Dances)

Boston Crusaders: New England Tryptych

Carolina Crown: Music from the band "Kansas"

Glassmen: Music from the Beatles (nah, will never happen)

Spirit of JSU: Sweet Home Alabama and music from the Marshall Tucker Band

I would never expect any of this to happen, but hey, maybe I struck a nerve somewhere????

heh.

Glassmen need to stay with the way they are going. it works.

take another GOOD classical peice, and make it there own.

how bout Shostakovich's 10th symphony? That'd suit them.
