It might still be a little early for this question, though my CDs have been in since Friday, and I know several of you were getting them today. But if I start it now, hopefully the responses will keep it current until more people get theirs.

Anyway, easy question, but I do have one request. I know APDs mean you probably already have your favorites, but I want you to answer with who you've been listening to the most, not necessarily your favorite. And I really want to hear about any answers that might have surprised you.

I've been listening to the Cadets the most, no question. From the Twisted Nerve intro, to the quick piano passages in the opener, to the driving and powerful ballad, to the emotion and technicality of the drumspeak, this is some of my favorite stuff from any year. But surprisingly I would have to admit that the Blue Devils have cracked my top five. I thought the show bombed in Indy, but I have to admit the audio is pretty entertaining. And if anyone wants to narrate (I'm looking at you, Cadets and Bluecoats) take a listen to the Devils. Beautiful audio setup, so that the voice fits seamlessly into the show.

My top five so far:

1. Cadets

2. Cavaliers

3. Bluecoats

4. Blue Devils

5. Phantom Regiment

* btw, Pioneer and KK were combined, since only 25 options are allowed in a poll.

D'oh!

It's actually a math mistake. I figured there were six shows to a disc, times four discs, so.... that makes 26 shows! b**bs

oops.

1) The Cadets - You have to admit they put up an amazing score. Could possibly be in my opinion the most beautiful ballad that I've ever heard.

2) Santa Clara Vanguard - So old school feel I love it

3) Carolina Crown - Oh yes!

4) Phantom Regiment - I love Gershwin

5) Blue Devils - Brass brass and more brass.

1. Phantom Regiment-So much "pizazz"

2. The Cavaliers-The ballad is Killer!

3. Santa Clara Vanguard-Love the Dark Sound

4. Carolina Crown-Beautiful Brass Sound!!!

5. The Bluecoats-I really like how much their hornline has matured! Great Drums!

6. The Cadets-Good Music just not my favorite of this year, hats of to the Ballad!

7. Crossmen-Great energy in their sound

I know there has been a trend of top 5...but 7 is even better...plus it rhymes with my name.
