Horns on the road?

Recommended Posts

How are the Yamaha horns holding up with the daily rigors of Jr drum and bugle corps.

I think they held up well. The only problem we had was the valves getting jammed whenever there was dust in them, but that was cause the kids gernerally weren't used to such tight valve tolerances and weren't running water through them very often.

I don't think we had any other real problems. Of course they were brand new...if we don't get new ones we'll see how they last.

They hold up great... I only play Xeno's after marching with them and playing their reverse leadpipe model... GREAT horns... But I do have to watch my valves since they tend to get stuck pretty often... LOTS of oil... lots more than that old bach... But I'll take the xeno over most any horn...
