camel lips
How are the Yamaha horns holding up with the daily rigors of Jr drum and bugle corps.
JayM
They are great. From a feel standpoint, I think the Yamaha marching baritone is the most durable marching instrument I've ever held.
splitter
I think they held up well. The only problem we had was the valves getting jammed whenever there was dust in them, but that was cause the kids gernerally weren't used to such tight valve tolerances and weren't running water through them very often. I don't think we had any other real problems. Of course they were brand new...if we don't get new ones we'll see how they last.
Iplaytimpani
I can gurantee they hold up better than the dynastys! We had parts falling off in only a month.
melloageout07
they do hold up quite well, even the silver finish is pretty durable we shined our horns at least every show, using wrights or silvo or blue magic. The actual durability of the horns themselves is also great, never had many problems besides pinky rings breaking off of mellos easily but that is easily fixed. SCVsopAaron
They hold up great... I only play Xeno's after marching with them and playing their reverse leadpipe model... GREAT horns... But I do have to watch my valves since they tend to get stuck pretty often... LOTS of oil... lots more than that old bach... But I'll take the xeno over most any horn...
