I found this picture of Kiwanis Kavaliers' performance from Quarterfinals this year, and it looks like they had a saxophone in their pit. liebot Posted December 5, 2005 Share Posted December 5, 2005 keep in mind, this is only a guess - but it seems like a pretty logical guess... maybe one of their members plays saxophone and DCI asked him to play the star-spangled banner? i know that at one of our shows one of our members was asked to sing the national anthem since she was an opera major.. still, it seems like DCI would've had planned this out ahead of time and wouldn't have to scrap for a person from kiwanis to play the anthem... or maybe he won I&E for sax and they let him do it because of that? this is all speculation, though.
