Jared_mello
'93 Regiment.Doesn't get any better than that! Irrelevant to your post, but more so who you are - Magic '94's ballad was a great production, and fit the show extremely well. Very memorable, for obvious reasons. 2000 was a great year for ballads. Southwind, Crown, PHANTOM REGIMENT, BD, SCV, etc....
bawker
Plenty to list, and I agree with most all of what's been listed...but as to not repeat what came before in the thread, I'll offer a new one: Glassmen 1994. "Nights In White Satin" is a classic. :) Another under-rated one is Spirit of Atlanta's 1986 closer...

ssorrell
Best ballad of all...Let It Be Me. And it really WAS a ballad, unlike many of the tunes that have been loosely defined as a ballad.

Orange Roughy
Lists are for the hesitant and irresolute. There is only one answer to this question: Cadets 1998 Nothing even comes close.

Gives me chills even on the 800th listen. After posting that, I had to go back and listen to it 3 times. I can't even begin to calculate how many times I have rewinded my CD player to the 6:47 mark so I could listen to it again, and again, and again...
