MarimbasaurusRex
Blue Stars 1972 (although they do exist today, this show was favored by many to win it all in 72) Technically, Blue Stars should count, too. Like Dutch Boy (mentioned earler), the current Blue Stars corps is actually the Lacrosse Blue Star Cadets (LBS Cadets). Add my votes for: 72 Bleu Raeders (cuz they only got one shot) 73 Argonne Rebels (never got to see them) 74 Auburn Purple Lancers (the only corps name with two colors in it!) 75 Blue Stars (soulero) 76 Bridgemen (all fall down) 77 Seneca Optimists (if only the parachute could have saved them) 78 Guardsmen (love the helmets) 79 Troopers (aquarius???? hair??? the troopers???) 80 27th (no brainer) 81 Suncoast (the best small horn line you'll never hear) 82 Geneseo Knights (gotta love those up and comers) the list goes on, but what's the point of a CLASSIC countdown if the corps aren't classic? ravedodger
We played more ET in 88 than we did in 89. Gotta love both shows... Oops! Sorry, I should have mentioned 88, I tend to think of Star Wars more with 88 because of Yoda's theme. I associate ET with 89 since that was the first Freelancers show I ever saw. Rocketman
Not to pea on anybodies parade but, I just "assumed" we would pick corps for which an actual video performance exists. Seems logical. Silly me! Since it would appear that only portions of 1974 are available, all you talking about anything prior to that are, in a pipe dream. Hey, if you got the vids, let us know. Jd83
Muchachos '75 North Star '78 & '79 Guardsmen '78 & '79 Star of Indiana '90 Geneseo Knights '82 & '83 Avant Garde 1983 Sky Ryders '86 Velvet Knights '86 Dutch Boy '87 I would have chosen the Kilties at some point, but they are alive and well, and have been competing in DCA for the past several years.
