Carl306
I don't think it is a secret... and if it was it's out now.9 snares 5 bass 4 tenors 0 cymbals (we have enough in the pit) As of now... 6 marimbas 6 vibes 1 xylo 2 rackers 1 timp and a partridge in a pear tree Correct: "We don't need no stinking amps!" Oh man! Have fun fitting all those keyboards on the truck :P
SoonerFan04
So the rumor was true! That's crazy... "We don't need no stinking amps!" is right. Oh man! Have fun fitting all those keyboards on the truck :P I'm sure they got a much bigger one when we bought their old (smaller) one. B) We only have 8 boards this year and the loading is already a nightmare - a lot is being torn out (on the bottom) & added on (on top) to make room for the huge frames that Dynasty feels the need to have. lol I think the junker Vibe I played last year weighed less than JUST the frame off a Dynasty. leadsop97
we're re-doing our truck apparently to make more room for all the keyboards we'll have. It should be interesting. and as long as the big lines are clean, I'll be happy.

That truck is a pit's worst nightmare. At one time we were loading 3 marimbas and a couple vibes on the second level. As in lifting them up onto a truck that's not a lowrider in the first place wasn't bad enough... Disaster. Plus the torque from the truck is much worse on the second story causing the resonators to take an absolute beating. Goodluck with the renovating! no_itsnotadash
why do you need 16 in the pit. lol have fun loading that trailer
liebot
why do you need 16 in the pit. lolhave fun loading that trailer Why not? They've had the numbers all year, so it's not like they've been scrambling to get up to that many. I think it's just that after the audition camps they had that many people that were talented enough to be a part of that section. Add in to that a couple of battery players that were really talented but still got cut and you have a big pit. I'm sure I'm being overly defensive because this is my own corps, but I felt the need to answer your question anyway.
olledowerdna
if you can field em, sure why not. I think BDB has around 11 or 12?
Wildabeast
Just saw Vanguard Cadets today. Looked like they were marching: 7 snares 4 tenors at least 4 basses (maybe 5, i didn't get a good look) 4 cymbals ...and I don't remember exactly how many in the pit, but I think around 7-8.
