  1. Anything could happen. Please stop being negative. Realize that BDB is attempting to win its 5th percussion title in a row, which has NEVER been done in the history of DCI. I think that is a feat in itself.... They've also continuously done well in world class competition for the past 3 years...finishing 17th in both 2011 and 2012. (In front of multiple world class corps) And who knows? They COULD show up in Indy and throw down, or be a mess, but it's both ignorant and a little disrespectful to say "It's not going to happen". Both the members and staff pour their heart and soul into this activity, regardless of which corps it is. Who cares if it is or isn't going to happen for them? I know what is happening...they are out there 9-9 everyday working towards something great while people on DCP continue to fortune tell. Hell....4-5 years ago everyone believed Cavies would be leading DCI for years to come. Things have changed, and will continue to change. Nobody thought BDB could ever win in the first place, including me, who was a member of the corps from 2003-2006. 1 tuba in 2003. ONE. Look at the corps now.....stronger than ever. -Andrew
  2. A snare drummer from VE made the Blue Devils this year. (He is the one on the left in the first picture you see of the drumline.) He ages out in 2010. VE's percussion program is also ran by Darick Kelly. (BD snare 04-05)
  3. That's because the Blue View clip does not exist yet. It will be out sometime within the next couple weeks.
  4. Yes I know that they care.... I just don't see why it is such a big deal to them. It is only drum corps....
  5. That's because BDB 05 clips don't exist on Vic Firth. You can find them on youtube, or google video though. Chris is one in from the right end. (Tenor side) You can find Kenny one in from the end (Cymbals side) on the BDB 06 clips on Vic Firth.
  6. That'd be Chris Boucher from Bakerfield, CA. He marched BDB 2005. Kenny Casados (Mitch's younger brother) marched BDB 2006.
  7. Pits are not unjudged. They are second important to the snares in a judges eye. (Most comments are for snares/pit) Bass and Cymbal lines are unjudged.
  8. Roger is awesome. I hope the Scouts do well.
  9. All scoops from all companies come with velcro to attach to the drum. I'd go with whatever drum you may have so they match....
  10. It's good to see a large arc like that. When I came to BDB we had 22 brass, and the year before they had 17. It's amazing what has been done the past 4 or 5 years to this organization. Watch out for them in 2007. Good Luck BDB.
  11. Ricky Odello (Bass) Robert Murray (Bass) Anthony Porter (Snare) - BD call back Sam Williams (Snare) - BD call back
  12. Freelancers 07 Still need: 1 Tenor 2 Synths 1 Bass Guitar 1 Drum set The show is based on movies such as Bladerunner, 1984, and fahrenheit 51. The show is entitled "fahrenheit".
  13. I think it could. But so could a lot of movie soundtracks....
  14. BDA 06 - Black with Blue hardware BDB 06 - Canyon Blue (Marble) with White hardware Both matched the uniforms very well....
  15. Should be announced by the next camp. Which is in a few weeks....(19th, 20th, 21st)
  16. BDB is expecting to field the full 135 member corps.
  17. I say Snares: Yamaha Tenors: Dynasty Basses: Pearl Cymbals: Zildjian Remo heads. Vic Firth sticks.
  18. You should contact Rick Odello. There is a bundle of old BD yamahas in storage right now that are always for sale.... rodello@bluedevils.org
