Michael Boo
<**> what someone else would do in a given situation is irrelevant. our lives are our own. and by the way, we all know there are selfish band directors out there that will advise you in a way that allows them to get what THEY want. go march. Ace: A. He asked for our advice. B. We don't know if his band director is selfish. C. Doing the "right" thing is not always the "easy" thing. D. I hope he can pull it off. My advice was not to burn any bridges on the way, because he might need to cross them on the way back. E. No one wants kids to march drum corps more than I do. F. What I said in A and B. My email address is egobuster@bellsouth.net, if you know of any it would be greatly appreciated. This being the last minute it is going to be hard to come up with all of the dues at once... :(

This being the last minute it is going to be hard to come up with all of the dues at once... :( Of course, I can't speak for "your" corps, but they might be willing to work out a payment plan with you. Of course, if they do, just make sure you follow through and repay in full. Otherwise, word gets around and you most likely will not be permitted in another corps. But of course, being responsible is a big part of drum corps and life. My very best wishes for you this summer. Michael Boo
I am a she, but thanks. :)... My apologies. I usually would write "he/she" and "his/her" to cover such a circumstance. And I do hope you not only get to march drum corps, but do talk with your band director. It would be easier to get it out of the way now than when you come home in August. It's always better for us drum corps people to "make peace" with band directors than to alienate them. We WANT them to feel good about sending their kids to drum corps. We want them to wish more of their kids marched in drum corps.
