Newseditor44 Posted July 21, 2006 Author Share Posted July 21, 2006 I think the visual design problems have either gone away or are exaggerated, because last night I loved itI think a lot of people like to stereotype Phantom as having bad drill (which I don't think they do this year), or Crown being too easy drill wise (which they certainly aren't this year), etc, etc. Phantom's show is REALLY coming together, more so than what I thought this time last year with them. Out of the hunt? nope, BIG uphill battle, yup I agree with you Chris, I think they have a HUGE uphill battle. But is this corps has the same work ethic and desire of the past several Regiment corps, I think its possible. The one thing I have been worried about with BD all year is them peaking too early. They have a great book, but I think Regiment has the total package. And the thing that puts Regiment over the top is the fact that they have so much to clean. CSGreen Posted July 21, 2006 Share Posted July 21, 2006 if you haven't seen Phantom live lately, you really can't bag on the drill, lots of changes, and all for the better (from what I have seen) Saying Phantom has a weak visual program is the standard line the last few years, and sometimes I agree, after last night, I don't agree. It's not the best thing about the corps, but it isn't what people are painting it to be either. I thought the music was choppy and there was no GE, but since then, after seeing it, It's my favorite show of the year. This show has legs folks!
