I think so. Bloo's attracting good talent, they've got a solid staff in place, and their shows are competing with the big boys and beating some of them. Bloo only has two other corps to take down in competition, BD and Cavs.

I think within the next decade, for sure, and hopefully within the next five years, Ohio's going to bring home a ring.

They are slated to win it in 2009.

In 2001, in the dark halls of DCI headquarters in Addison, IL, it was predetermined via “lottery ball” slotting where Bloooo would finish, increasing its place by one each year. 2003 was a dark setback for the Blooo Crooo when the evil Crusaders found out about the lottery agreement. Look at the last few years:

2006 4th

2005 5th

2004 6th

2003* 7th

2002 7th

2001 8th

* Were slated to get 6th, but Boston Crusaders blackmailed judge, throwing the Bloooo conspiracy off one year.

Absolutely hilarious :P ... good job!!!

And I hate to sound like a "borg" or whatever ... but to the original poster -- it's "Bluecoats" ... one word (which you had) but no capital "c" in the middle. Thank you!

If you're talking all-time, the Bluecoats defeated the Cavaliers several times in the late 1980s ... here's one such example ...

Friday June 17, 1988 -- Whitewater WI DCM

1 Madison Scouts 69.400

2 Bluecoats 65.500

3 Cavaliers 64.800

4 Star of Indiana 64.200

5 Phantom Regiment 63.600

and one more ...

Saturday June 18, 1988 -- Palatine IL DCM

1 Bluecoats 69.600

2 Cavaliers 67.500

Those were the first two shows of the season, but over the first 10 shows of that season, the Bluecoats beat them one other time and tied them for first another time (that's 3-6-1).

With back-to-back wins over the Cadets this past weekend, the ONLY corps the Bluecoats have never beaten is the Blue Devils, whom they finished a mere 0.8 behind at DCI Finals last year in Boston, beating or tying them in several captions.

My question still is: Who will bring a world championship back to northeast Ohio first? The Bluecoats? Or the field (Cleveland Cavaliers, Indians, or Browns)?

Not the Browns.

Of the topic, does anybody else think the Browns (football), Reds (Baseball), and Blues (Hockey) should all be in the same city?
