Question about Pasadena seating

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to compare the seating chart on the DCI site: http://pasadena07.dci.org/super3/

with a seating chart of the stadium: http://www.rosebowlstadium.com/seating.htm

On the stadium map it looks like the 50 yard line goes up between sections 4 & 5, but on the dci seating chart it looks like it splits a couple of sections.

If I didn't want to be outside of the 30-yd line it looks like I would want to sit in the blue section correct? If you sat in the green section you could concievable be sitting over the 0-yrd line if you were at the top correction?

Thx in advance for any help. I went to San Antonio regionals last year and had seats above the 20-yd line. It really wasn't worth the trip because it didn't seem like I really saw/heard the shows. Just wanting to make sure I was reading the seating maps correctly for Pasadena.

Thx for your replies but http://www.rosebowlstadium.com/seating.htm shows the 50-yd line smack dab in the middle of section 18. http://pasadena07.dci.org/super3/ shows the 50-yd line dividing sections 18 & 19.

Nevermind, I'm overly analyzing the little blue lines on the first map lol. I just don't want to plan a trip to Pasadena and then get crappy seats where I don't really see the shows. Would rather, dare I say, watch QF in a theater and SF on SP than be at the shows and not really see/hear what is happening.

Ok, do I have this right? If you are sitting in the middle of Section 17 (or 20) halfway up you are in front of the 12-yd line. If you are in the middle of Section 18 (or 19) halfway up you are in front of the 35-yd line.

If it's any consolation, nearly any seat in the house will suck. I'm happy Finals will be in SoCal next year, but... yeesh.

How I agree!

Rose Bowl Stadium is just not meant for Drum Corps.

Jking, I think any seat within 17-20 will give you a good view of center between each 20 yard line.

Now now, MikeBob, it wouldn't suck to be on the 50-yrd line. It would suck to pay $165 for Premium seats and be halfway up in on the outside of Section 17 (or 20) and have the 10 yrd line in front of you.

Is the seating at the Rose Bowl the same as at Camp Randall? That is bench seating with too many people sitting too close together? Also what about backrests, are there any?

Not only is it bench seating sans backrests, and not only do the stands curve away from the field, but each seat is equipped with spikes that randomly extend and retract. Also, there is poison on the spikes.

I can't take anything seriously in the off season.
