right you are Liz.........the Connecticut Alumni have been around since late 80's

The Connecticut Alumni first marched in 1984 in the Shelton Memorial Day Parade in the pouring rain. I had never heard of an alumni corps until then. What was the original alumni corps?

Dave......that would be the Archer Epler Musketeers in 1975. We started putting it together in '74 in anticipation of marching in the Bicentennial Parade in Philly, which we did in '76 representing Alaska and shattering a large display window in Gimbels department store along Market St.

Did mostly parades until '78, when we did a full exhibition at the Dream (actually 5 minutes overtime - sorry Mickey). The only alumni corps to march the Dream in the old venue.
