Alumni Corps -- How Many Are There?

With the growing list of alumni corps as reported on here, maybe a good thing would be to have a summer, outdoor, all-invited alumni exhibition. This would be independent and not conflict with the DCA championships. It would probably be a fantastic weekend. It could be like the old World Open contests without the competitiveness. It would be a great weekend to relive past drum corps experiences.. It wouldn't be impossible.

It is my understanding that such a show is in the works for next year after the regular season.

Sounds like a great idea but we tried this for 3 years at the Wildwood Convention Center in October and there wasn't really an audience. Outdoors would be nice but keep it at fun and exhibition only. Junior and Senior divisions would be great too. Hmm. Really does sound good! :)

The Derry Patriots Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps is an active corps. We had originally planned to be a one-shot deal, but interest in continuing the corps has risen. We will be marching and performing in the 2007 season. More details to come. Our biggest concern is whether or not to allow non-Patriot members to participate. I prefer to open the corps up to anyone who wishes to participate.

Agree. When was Derrys last year anyway?

Hanover Sr corps went under in the mid 80s and what's left of the "real Alumni" (as opposed to people like me :P) would not be able to field much of a corps. Low brass especially would really take a hit.
