Brasskitten Posted January 12, 2003 Share Posted January 12, 2003 Yeah, I played on them....brand new. Very nice. Phantom made a top notch choice in selecting new Bb horns. Lovely, rich sound. Playing high is a bit difficult for some reason on these horns, takes more out of your chops...but I'm sure that'll be an easy fix after they get used to them. I know that Phantom is using them but I can't seem to find what they look like. I know that this should be in the brass forum, but I think this area gets more exposure. We have an opportunity to get some, but I want to know how the valves are configured. Are they like normal contras or valve forward like Yamaha?
