Yes to New Bedford Whalers and Dunkirk Patriots, Mag Yankees not sure....

The Magnificent Yankees were a junior corps, and a fine one at that in the 60's from up-state New York. Utica to be exact. The corps merged with the Syracuse Marauders in 1975 to form the Yankee Marauders.

That picture IS Al Chez....

He marched with Reading for the last month or so of 1982, playing the solos in ballet in brass. Last time that he marched with his two brothers (Mickey and Pete).
