Sky in their prime, during the 'Golden Age' of drum corps, as many people have described it. I was there in the audience that night, my first-ever 'live' viewing of Sky, Hawthorne, Sun, Hurcs, Carver, as well as all the rest. I was already a drum corps fan through the Fleetwood records I owned, but I think that night really solidified my desire to become a member of a big corps. At the time I thought it would be Sun, but fate had different plans for me. Three years later, I played at 'Evening With the Corps,' but by then it had moved to Newark's Symphony Hall.
