Triple Forte
Hi All, Several seasons ago I observed that most hornlines now have black plastic (Holders ?) items attached their horn up near the mouth piece. What the heck are they and what is their function ?? Thanks Triple Forte

Thanks Triple Forte Actually, hornlines march so fast nowadays that they keep the deer off the fields by giving off a high pitched whistle as you march along double-time. Oh yeah, sometimes you see them on car bumpers. Edited January 22, 2007 by Martybucs

bbaritone_41
I have one on my bari too, it looks good on it. Some corps ask me what it is for, coz' they say it looks like a sight for guns. :P Helps me warm-up too. Especially when I can't play on my horn :)

Western Burger
I have a berp and I love it. We used it in corps to do buzz warm ups together. I find they are great for pedal tones as well.
