I just figured it out last night, I guess Sibelius answered my question with it's handy transposing button. Thanks for all of you who replied, I really appreciate it. Question solved, thread can now be closed. Thanks all!

I tried everything, the piece is on Eb played using G bugle and I wanted to play my tuba as the contrabass. How would I match the notes I'm producing with the notes the bugles are playing?

I make them play C which registers G on the chromatic tuner.

I've recently acquired a chromatic tuner. Hence, I want our hornline to be in tune. In what key does the G hornline be tuned into? I've tuned them in G but when they play, they tend to be sharp. What makes them like that? I know mouthpieces can be an issue but most of the hornline play on similar mpcs. 7C for the sops, and sadly 7C also for the mellos :( 12C for the baris, 5G for the euphs and 25C for the contras Do some particular brand of horns have tuning problems? By the way, it's a mixed line of King, Kanstul and Dynasty horns. Thanks in advance

I played a couple of notes with my G bari and it sounded the same. I didn't transpose the main melody. Instead, I transposed the piano accompaniment down to major 2nd (2 half steps) and it sounded the same, but If there are still something wrong kindly tell me so that I can make corrections :P Here's what I came up with... Thanks all! I'll take some ideas from each of all your replies. I think doing it manually should do the trick. I'll just play some of the notes by ear then after I'm sure of some of the notes that were used in the piece. I'll just write them on paper and make a chart for referrence. ^_^

I'm reading treble clef. The piece is also written in treble for baritone/euphonium. If you want to see the piece I'm wanting to play, it's on sibelius music and here's the link for it. It's just really a beautiful piece that really got me the first time i heard it Sibelius link Mr. Schmitt: I thinks it's scored for a Bb instrument. Yes, it has 3 flats, I think this one almost hits the spot. b**bs I've transposed it up perfect 4th but I think it's pretty high.

How will you play a score if its in Eb and your instrument is in a different key, I want to play something in my G baritone. I'm gonna use it to audition. I've played it already in my Bb marching baritone but I'm not familiar with the sounds of the notes in the Bb bari. I've memorized the piece already but I can't really play it on the Bb bari. I'm used in playing my G baritone that's why I'm more familiar with the sounds of the notes from it. Can somebody help me? :( Btw, I want to play the notes on the staff as I see it. If it's E then I play E on my G baritone.

Now you just gave us here a really good reason why we should have this DVD no matter what. ^_^ I absolutely think this can really improve the over all playing of our corps' brassline just as good as how it revolutionized BD's hornline and placed them on one of drum corps' best sounding lines as of today. May please somebody help me in getting hold of this awesome piece of multimedia?

If I had an ipod, I'll fill them up with Future Corps/ Encorps, Blue Devils, Madison Scouts and all studio recordings of different drum corps mp3s till they go spilling on the sides! ^_^

I wish you could have some mp3's of them playing from the said event.. ^_^ Especially James Blunt's song.

We call ours 'horn panties' This started when we were doing a parade and some of my baritone mates' bell cover fell off and someone yelled from the back 'Hey! Your panty fell'. That was the start of what it's being called today in our corps. :P

I was looking forward that he's a trumpet player too.. ^_^

We've got several of them on our horns, we just ask a tailor to make some for us. It's just cloth or anything that can withstand the cement or anything that will be beneath them. It has garter on both the other sides of the cloth. Here are some pictures of the bell protectors I turned the bell protector inside-out so you can see what it looks like... It's really a big help especially the contras which stands on the bell most of the time. It's also cheap And Sir Attreides, I think you can have the 'Banana Power' pattern all over it :) Hope this helps :) Cheers!

I have one on my bari too, it looks good on it. Some corps ask me what it is for, coz' they say it looks like a sight for guns. :P Helps me warm-up too. Especially when I can't play on my horn :)

Once, I've got a full score of tank in G from the Mandarins, but my PC got a virus and deleted the file. Darn..

I didn't saw it.. How come? I guess our time here is different from you guys there.. I wish I could watch it again.
