Boston Horn Opportunities

Recommended Posts

Okay, I've put this off long enough. I've been wondering this for quite some time. I'm going to show my complete ignorance here, swallow my pride, and ask this question: What does the "A" in BAC mean? Please be gentle!

Bad Air Conditioning

BA-ZING

No, this one is different, you see.

Boston actually had a pretty sizable turn out their auditions, many returning vets, and very eager and talented rookies. This isn't really a hype, but more of an honest truth. Also, how do you know that someone wasn't cut because of raised standards? I don't know anything concrete, but that wouldn't surprise me. Either way, the corps is just fine.

Try Bad A** Crusaders!!! :o

Or perhaps in reality we should reorder that, as ABC.

I kid, I kid. That was quite uncalled for and I apologize.

May the drum corps savior be with you,

BAC stands for "Boston Area Crusaders." Back in the day, many members came from different parts of Boston proper: Hyde Park, Dorchester, South Boston, etc. Thus, "area."

A couple years ago, at the BAC homeshow, I asked a souvie vendor what BAC stood for. I was told "Boston Area Crusaders." I guess the members will only know. I, having been a BAC member knows it really means (edited by author).

Sorry, but there's no "r" in Dorchester
