Gotta go with the only instruments I ever played in corps Bari and (parade) Euph.

After all the "Bar-O-Tone" was the first voice added to the original straight bugles (ca 1930).

So you now know what to blame in this whole "evolution" deal. ^0^

Edit #1: We had a mix of Mellos and French Horns as mid voice in late '70s.

Edit #2: Smack that gong Ben... Then play with your bongos. :P

I love contra more than drum corps

but without drum corps, would you have the contra?

details...

if people had not decided to add instruments to the old drum and bugle corps, which over time changed into marching contras and whatnot, would there be a contra?

heck, if people did did not even have the military bands with bugles, would there be a contra?

P.S i'm not trying to start something. I just want to prove my point.

Without a contra, there's still drum corps. Without drum corps, there's no contra.
