jake_the_hydra
just run a couple miles every day. really, you'll be fine. don't freak out. it's tiring and difficult, but it's been done by some very out-of-shape people. I concur, not that I'm out of shape...far from. But yeah, as far as making Spring Training easier, well, it's not going to be easier. Basically the most you can do with move-in is make yourself feel less like you want to die. When it all comes down to it, it's mental. We all made it through, I still have all my fingers, and I'm not missing any limbs. The most I can tell you however is stay healthy. Getting sick during move in isn't fun at all...at all...at all... I was really out of shape. I regret not running and exercising enough before move-ins last year. It won't happen again.
shaners
DON'T WAIT IN LINES there is always something else you can do which does not waste time like waiting in lines. youll be fine, just stay relaxed and flexible, look into some simple meditation that you can do on the road when you have a free block or so. for most people, its really a mental game. once you get used to it youll know what to do by without really having to think about it. EPL.......... the time on tour which was the most chaotic for me when i started marching was EPL... at crossmen = Eat Pack Load this is the time after rehearsal and before a show where you must eat pack and load........ pretty self explanatory.. if you have a tour job, this time is usually not best to do it (unless you have to).... to make EPL run smoothly, start packing at lunch or even breakfast. during epl you'll have so many things to do: pack, eat, shave, clean your horn, get uniform, tour job, get stuff to bus... anything you can do before hand will help you have a relaxing part of the day before a show! euponitone
Dont get behind on dotbook / drill stuff. My corps was insane about that, and my rookie year, I slacked off on it...then my dotbook got thrown away. No good
