cheezedogg 23
I've always been under the impression that under most circumstances that not a lot of chatter from D3 corps actually means they're working harder than everyone else. You know, its the old, walking the walk, and not talking the talk, kind of thing. I can't wait, i'm gonna do my best to see as many 2/3 corps as I can. RevoPR
Just a quick update from the Revolution down in San Antonio! New website to debut VERY soon with more info and better update capabilities. The Revolution Chronicles project, which will be a multifaceted media tool for the organization has launched beginning with the creation of the Web Blog for tour and camp updates. The members will be creating a new type of tour video based more on realty show than typical promotional memory video. The new Chronicle Newsletter will debut at the San Antonio Regional in the souvie booth as well. Check out the blog site here: Revolution Chronicle Blogger As for the corps: The corps numbers are strong despite the addition of the Crossmen into our market. We will be fielding a close to capacity Division III Corps (79) and the production is a step up in difficulty and entertainment for the coming competitive 2007 season. The members are really enjoying the music and the drill is challenging. Our numbers will be listed below with a brief rundown on their progress. Drumline: 8 snares 4 Tenors 5 basses 9 Front Ensemble Look forward to the special drum feature in the closer and special pit solo in the Tango! So far the members and staff are pleased with their progress and want to continue to grow and build over the next couple of months! Hornline: 12 Sopranos 8 Mellos 9 Baris 7 Tubas The hornline does have a late season Tuba opening and possibly a baritone hole that needs to be filled. The hornline is also pleased with their current direction and they like the sound the Bb horns produce. While there is always much work to be done, to be able to do a full Musical run in May makes the destination on this summer journey that much closer. The corps is doing well with the new marching style and drill is progressing at a good pace. 16 Guard While most of the guard joined in April after the winter season ended, you would never be able to tell with their rapid progression and integration with the rest of the corps. We do currently have 3 holes to still fill to complete the line so if you want to join the time is now! Contact m.ramos@revolutionypa.org We hope that gives you some insight to the goings here in San Antonio. The corps moves in for all day's on June 8th at the final camp of the season. This is the first season that we do a full "housed" all days. Tour support help is always welcome as are donations to our gas fund, as the cost of gas keeps going up and up and up! Check back often on the website for more information on those opportunities and to see the new website changes or to just follow-up on tour! See you on the road in 2007! Enjoy!
