Wow...what an experience it was! Going back field in the exit piece and then turning around was the first time I ever allowed myself to look at the masses. Then I smiled and a tear came...age-out year besides. Then I quickly sobered up as we prepared for the those gates.

That '82 Blue Devils corps remains one of my all-time favorites, Kelley! If you have the BD yearbook from that year you'll see all the records you guys established that season. I sent them to Jerry Seawright, and he put them in the yearbook.

I always looked forward to spending nearly every spare minute I had watching BD rehearse whenever they came to Minnesota....which was every year back then.

Of course, I didn't see this show live, but...WOW! That was an amazing corps. Your drumline's feature was just insane, especially with that single stroke roll towards the end...clean as a whistle.
