kentw Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Due to inclement weather, the Blue Knights February camp originally scheduled for this weekend has been cancelled. This storm is producing the most snow seen in February for the Denver area in quite a few years. It has to be bad if Colorado schools and activities are shutting down because of snow. Thoughts about the corps and this weekend's unfortunate news? Quote
SFZFAN Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Better safe than sorry. They'll be fine. Quote
azul Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Glad this is the reason and not something else like financial problems. 1 Quote
contrajedi8 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 (edited) Not to mention trying to travel into and out of Denver by any means (air, car, etc.) has got to be an absolute ##### right now. I think I saw on the news something like 600+ flights got cancelled as a result of the weather. Edited February 3, 2012 by contrajedi8 Quote
MisterA Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Great decision on Blue Knights part. It is always better to be safe than sorry. I do feel bad for the kids and staff, as it is always disappointing to have a setback at any time in the season. It shouldn't really hurt them at all though, as alot of corps suffer rehearsal problems during the summer, such as tornadoes, storms, and other weird things that come up out of nowhere. Good luck to Blue Knights this summer, and I hope everyone who is in the Denver area, all have safe travels. Quote
corps8294 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Wasn't it 69 degrees in Denver not too long ago? 1 Quote
Blackstar Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Wasn't it 69 degrees in Denver not too long ago? Here in Wilmington DE it was 69 degrees 2 days ago and 42 today...Its the Presidents fault...we might as well blame the weather on him too..... 2 Quote
corps8294 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 It's like the beginning of The Shining; the weather is all warm and balmy and then a blizzard moves in the next day. Quote
wvu80 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 My thoughts are that last year's Blue Knights show was my favorite BK of all time. Just a great show in every way a drum corps should be. Quote
