OMG - it's like the entire 90's all over again!!! Boo hoo - the Scouts are ALWAYS getting ripped off! They never get the score they deserve. Good grief.

you can see that even in the pics posted (other thread) - technique is incredibly inconsistent honestly those pics worried me to death about Scouts.. If I were to go back and watch 88 right now I might cry.

unfortunately they were at another venue with another judging panel so it's impossible to compare

you can't really compare scores from different shows!! We've got to wait until corps face each other to know how they'll line up

I rank 2005 above all those / which means DC shows - just like all the creative arts - is a matter of opinion. I REALLY don't like a number of other corps programs - very simplistic design, easy demand, or repetitive drill moves year after year - but I don't boo them, or come on here and act like they should change to please little old me.

Great - now you are speaking for "the many" Pretty funny. Reminds me of RAMD in the days. Here's the thing: the "many" were BD fans who had, frankly, drank way too much in the lot before they rolled into the Rose Bowl Because the VERY SAME Cadet show was wildly recieved up the coast just nights before.

I saw it too So cool corps are doing this sort of thing... As others have mentioned - music seems strong, they did not march the entire drill. Hopkins did say prior they would have the remainder of the fourth piece (but not the epilogue) on the field by Sunday Guard is clearly WAY ahead of last year Drill looked very challenging - seems like the fourth tune will be quite the challenging drill just judging from the first 1/3 they marched tonight Looking forward to seeing my first live show,

I would be shocked if it's anyone OTHER than Cadets, BD or Cavaliers Cavaliers will be your emotional pick ala BD last year / they will have a big crowd pulling for them Cadets seem real hot coming out of the gate + never count out BD Personally I would put the odds at over 90% that one of those 3 will win

I'd type my own by I agree with these right down the line / so why bother... Nice job with the predictions John / as always it will be interesting to see how it all plays out Any of the top 4 on your list could take it imo / and even a couple outside the top 4 - should be an exciting season :)

blah blah blah... In other news... CADETS have 5 and a half minutes on the field.

i loved Cadets 1992 / the aviator unis with the googles and hood also 2006 cadets / with the broad stripes down the leg - and the cheese pieces added for the ballad BD also has great guard uniforms / dance derby year, 1988, etc... Honestly i think most other corps pale in comparison to Cadets & BD in their uniform design for guard
