Galen
It's that time again- time to start dusting off your fantasy corps chops and getting ready for Season 21! If you plan to participate in the upcoming season, which starts on January 17, 2014, please reply to this thread with your corps name(s),, director name (from the fantasy site), division(s), hometowns and other pertinent information you want to share (ie show title, musical selections, uniform pictures, etc). IE: Corps name: Crash Test DummiesDirector: Galen Division: World Class Hometown: The Proving Grounds If you didn't follow the off-season rules conference, you're definitely in for a treat this season as, for the first time ever, we will be using historical scoring data from 3 decades' worth of scores! This is your chance to select from historical corps like Star of Indiana, Freelancers, Velvet Knights and more alongside with the modern contenders. My goal is to be able to open the fantasy site for registration by Saturday at the latest, and I will post an update as soon as it is up and running. In the meantime, you can check out the season calendar which was released earlier today, and be sure to check back on Friday for a preview of this season's major events: https://app.box.com/s/qj9mdjmb7l68zhf50m7p It's gonna be a great season! gcurrier
Corps name: The KnightsDirector: Gary L Currier (gcurrier) Division: World Class Hometown: Portland, ME Pictures of Winter The Knights and Marching Knights Symphony 11 The Winter by Joachim Raff Winter from Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi Winter Symphony by Paul Nordoff Symphony 1 in G minor, Winter Daydreams by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky Pictures of Winter will paint portraits and postcards of our favorite Maine season. Two shows created to be brought together off the field with The Knights Drum Corps (DCPI) and The Marching Knights Marching Band (FMA) playing together in a 20 minute concert, each show can also stand alone as individual field shows, only the beginning and end of which are the same. Each equally as powerful and representative of the cold bitter winters in New England, we show the raw power of a Nor'easter and the simple beauty of the first snow. All three performances are sure to please crowds across the country this winter season! Corps name: Les Blanc ChevalierDirector: Gary L Currier (gcurrier) Division: Open Class Hometown: Montreal, QC Quebecois Mon Pays by Gilles Vigneault Concerto de Quebec by Andre Mathieu Âme, Corps et Desir by Karen Young Tryptyque by Pierre Mercure Canadiana Suite by Oscar Peterson (ballad to the east) Hymn to Freedom by Oscar Peterson Rhapsodie Romantique by Andre Mathieu Les Blanc Chevalier is proud to present Quebecois, a journey through our musical heritage. From pop to Montreal’s jazz to our classical composers we are proud to represent Quebec’s history, pride and people. The guard will be heavily influenced by modern dance in interpreting the tail and we will give nod to many inspirational gay leaders who have fought for equality.
