Nice Guy Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 What are your predictions for this evening? Can the Cavaliers close the gap without their new ending? Can Boston pass BK? Quote
kyushujet Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 It's hotter today than it was Thurs for the Dallas show (forecasting 101 degrees). And there's no breeze, so the DFW area is at a level orange for air quality. And for the kids having the "luxury" of an indoor show last night in SA, I predict today's performances to be somewhat lackluster. Also, the natural letdown after a big show the night before. We'll see... Quote
Matt_S Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 With the corps that are in attendance, I don't see any changes in placement. Blue Devils are too far ahead of Cavaliers; the only corps that are really close right now are BK and Boston. The former is climbing while the latter is fading, so I'm going to say that BK has moved into 8th for good. Quote
kyushujet Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Denton, TX.Phantom's home away from home. Really? How so? or inside joke? Quote
kyushujet Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Really? How so? or inside joke? Oh, you mean UNT and One O'clock jazz? Quote
BK_Guard_Mom Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Does anyone have performance times? Thanks! Quote
silvertrombone Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 (edited) Where are the corps staying? Someone is a block away at Denton HS--sounds like Madison--are they here tonight? Specifically, I would like to go catch Academy. IIRC, they're here too. I'll go check web sites, but thought I'd check here and see if anyone knows. Thx! Oh, and they said "Phantom's home away from home" cuz this is where I live!! Actually, it has more to do with Paul Rennick being the Wizard of Denton. Denton, home to the UNT percussion department and the greatest drum line on the planet! Those guys basically follow Paul around like stray dogs...always have! Edit: D'oh! No Madison OR Academy here tonight. So much for paying attention, huh? BTW, should be no surprises tonight I'm guessing. Edited July 20, 2008 by silvertrombone Quote
rosski47 Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Oh, you mean UNT and One O'clock jazz? Yeah the Paul Rennick connection. If I remember correctly a bunch of corps members(at least drumline anyways) come from UNT. Quote
