I am a US Navy veteran December 1972 - December 1982. I served on the USS Austin (LPD-4) for 5 years, 9 months. I have attended all of the DCI championships Finals since 1973 except in 1981 I missed it because my ship was overseas in the Med. I could not swim the Atlantic Ocean without drowning or being eaten by sharks! I have I have attended DCI championships faithfully every year since 1982 and I plan to attend in 2010! I know a few guys and a lady who served. They have seen drum corps and would be happy to attend the show in Allentown. The people who have Section 240/340/440 tickets are holding on to them until the day of the competition. They may have all of their tickets being used. They may not. If they don't, they don't seem to realize that they can recieve their best price by selling at least a week before the competition. If they have extras on the day of the show, they will be joined by all the others who think like them on that day. What a mess! Hundreds of people out in front of Lucus Oil Stadium, trying to sell their extra tickets! Solution! They can sell their extras before they get to the Stadium and avoid the chaos that will ensue! Also, they will fetch a better price for thier tickets! To all those who have extra tickets, a word of wisdom from a "professional": Take advantage of the opportunity you have right now.
