  6. Hi Ray and Bobby... I was also one of the jumpers ,and the banner was made by a bunch of us from the Long Island Saints/and St Joe's Brigade from Astoria NY......... Bobby, the 81 DCA was an one of the best/memoriable shows for me , the crowd reaction was freakin unreal......... Just lie 1982 Montreal..........

  10. Ray, Played in 82 .. Yes It was Hy's. (The Melissa Manchester version) .. I had the honor of playing baritone in the 82 Hornline......with Mr Dreitzer teaching us along with Bucky Swan and Gus Wilke......... Unbelievable horn line........ High Horns at Championship...... Another of Hy's greatest songs was 42nd Street
  11. Hey Darth.. Like I should have know that.... Duh......considering I was there playing with you all...Next time I'll watch the tape/DVD before answering on the Alumni LOL...... Haven't been through the Alumni Solists yet Still working on the Field Corps from 97-up to 2006 Then will start on the Alumni Corps....... Hopefully will be easier than doing from 1945-through 2006 for the field corps. Now don't we all roll our eyes .........Thanks for the above Info...... I'll add to the grouping............   15. Hi Ray.. 1983 & 1984 - I'm Not Going Arrangements by Hy Dreitzer. Solo work by George Sidemouth Richardson, John Girardi, and Bobby Burke Slight correction.... The solo work in" I'm Not Going was Sidemouth and John Girardi The trio of Sidemouth, Girardi and Burke was during RainMaker with George taking the solo in the middle.... Jim

  18. Tony..... I pop in almost everday. problem is-- I don't know anyone -- once in a while a name comes up from the past or someone I do know... Mostly Sky or Maybe a couple of Sunrisers ...... But I do enjoy what happens over in WhoVille You and Fran keep those fancy shirts coming. Remember I know the Tailor...... LOL.........

  20. he and Gene Halpern joined together and they both had marched with St. Helena's from somewhere in the Bronx. Yeah, this was a tough one okay. At least I could give a little history to the uniform. Mike, Gene Halpern marched With St. Joe's Brigade in Astoria ( He was One of my Neighbors and we hung out together for many years.) as far as I know he did not march St Helena's,,,, and then he was with the LIC Saints...... Then Sky for awhile...... ... Hope all is well........ Jim
  21. BTW, he plays with Nutmeg Fife and Drum Corps. Thanks to the BHOF to have given him this chance to get totally hooked! He wanted to know when we can do that again...LOL Rick .. Your nephew Nick was fantasic... I came out of a Fife, Drum and Bugle Corps and watched many Colonial Corps Drummers and your nephew tops alot of them . I was talking with Nicks Mom and she said he is looking to get into the Old Guard. HE WILL MAKE IT>>>>>>>>> Great Job you all should be very proud of him.........
