Yep, you're right. The experience of a lifetime, learning from a talented and dedicated staff, life long friends, being treated like a family member, being well feed, having fun, those are all things I got at the Glassmen. I can definitely see why you wouldn't want any part of that !

My son is auditioning for a trumpet spot in Pioneer, I hope he makes it I love that corps !

If corps can march up to 150 students, why in the world can't they have a cymbal line ? I know why, it's because us the paying fans like it.

About two years ago my parents ran into a guy who had been in band with me. He said he was living in North Carolina and was involved with a group getting ready to start a drum corps. I had not heard anything further about it till now....I hope it is true !

Their is something going on and it should be announced in the next few days. The Cadets and Glassmen are merging to become: The Holy Toledo Cadets yep, heard it here first !

Nice size crowd last night at Paw Paw. Beautiful weather, just a great night for Drum Corps. 7th Regiment - my first time seeing this corps -ever , quite surprised, very entertaining Music City - Wow....great job, you guys are great for your first year out. I was really impressed. Citations - great show add about 25 horns to this corps and you have a new East powerhouse. Dutch Boy - lots of improvement from the Vicksburg show. Go Canada ! Les Stentors - putting it out their with 8 horns, much better than I expected Spirit of Newark - these kids are out there having a great time - crowd was into it Capital Regiment - yes, I'm a huge Cap fan....love this show...corps keeps getting better ! Velvet Knights - very surprised, much better live. very entertaining...thank you for coming back VK !!!! Blue Devils "B" - Holy Crap !!!!!!!!! could easily knock off some "World" Corps.... Raiders - very clean unfortunately had to follow Concord Legends - the hometown corps keeps getting better. Thank you Ibe & staff for bringing back junior corps to Michigan !!

Hi I'm spatula and I'm a Drum Corps Addict !

I'll just throw all my support to DCA. We already have two great Marching Band circuits here in Indiana - ISSMA & BOA we really don't need another......

There are no average drummers in the Cadets. My advice is to go to DCI.org and find the Open Class corps that is nearest to you and audition there next season. You would gain drum corps experience as well as find out what it takes to be competitive for a spot in a Top 5 drumline. Who knows you may decide a smaller corps is for you and stay !

Yeah, It will be interesting to see what comes of this. I'm for anything that grows the activity. Although all these years later, I'm not convinced Star leaving DCI helped grow anything. I think we just lost a great drum corps.

I heard some rumors a few weeks ago about some of the Top World class corps doing a seperate tour in 2010. Apparently this is it ?? Hopefully they are NOT thinking of breaking away from DCI (Star), that would be the nail in the coffin for the activity on the junior level.

So I'm watching one of those Nostradamus shows on the History channel and apparently they have uncovered a lost quatrain that says if these 4 events all happen in a five year period, the world will end: 1. Boston Red Sox win not one but two World Series ..... 2. Indianapolis Colts beat the Pats and go on to win the Super Bowl 3. Phantom Regiment wins DCI straight out 4. Chicago Cubs win the World Series..........

When I first started watching Drum Corps I would say the loudest corps I heard was 1982 Blue Devils. While I marched by far the loudest hornline I experienced was 1989 Phantom Regiment..... The past few years I think the honor would go to Cadets or Crown.

My Bold Predictions: Glassmen and Madison WILL make finals Crown wins it all with Regiment being the bridesmaid once again Parking in Indy will suck........

I always loved this corps, I hope they make a comeback soon !!
