Well put, PhantomFanT10. And I think they're marching pretty well. If they clean up what they have, I think this show will still be top 5, perhaps top 4. The more I think about it, a few strategically placed tweaks would fix a lot for the show.

IMO, the visual design is just lacklustre overall. Love the music and the hornline, as usual, though. But the drill just doesn't fit the music. It doesn't hook me into the music at any point during the show other than the parts where they form wedges. Not sure what they can do besides rewrite some drill in a big hurry, or just do scatters and park and blows that better complement the music.

I highly doubt it was prerecorded.

The narration was perfect. Not very much, and perfect, IMO. "I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse" just at the right time in the drill, among others. The audience ate it up. I don't know if Phantom had a new ending or not since this is the first time I've seen the show

Just to play devil's advocate, from a historical perspective, it is. See Frederick Jackson Turner, Walter Prescott Webb, Patricia Limerick, just to name a few. But seriously, do people in Denver consider themselves part of "The West," whatever that is? And yes, finals need to go back to Denver. :)

Looking at the two comps tonight, Blooo got around an 86 and SCV got around an 82. If anything, I would expect the spread to be greater between the two, having seen SCV last week. All of this talk of inflation is speculation of course, but 4 points between SCV and Blooo is pretty close to right, IMO.

Scades got a BIG jump. Good for them. And for whoever said the scores are 2 point too low, I don't think so. No was SCV is above an 84 yet. And the spreads are about where I figured they'd be. :)

PR's percussion ine is tight. So is BD's. Just enjoy both. :)

I've seen SCV and BK. I don't think they'll stack up too well against the Cavies and Cadets, but I think they'll beat all the others handily. Denver is in for a treat tonight, IMO. Lots of diversity in these shows. Can't wait to see if people like BK as much as I do this year.

I'd seriously rather just have them play nothing at all than the new fanfare thingamabob.

PR and Blue, to me, are the most compelling match up of the year. I like so much about both shows, but something is missing from both too. Can't put my finger on it. Whichever corps finds "it" will come out on top in Madison, I think. Captain Ambiguous is my alter ego.

I so wish they streamed the Denver show instead tonight. I'd like to see what some of the East Coasters think about SCV and BK. :)
