I think the person who posted this took it into cosideration that some could fall into numerous categories. I think that's why the poll asks which best describes you. Anyway, no reason to ridicule somebody over a poll, right? :P

unless scv makes some big improvments, i don't see them competin with the Bluecoats, but perhaps with Phantom. Who knows, though, it's all guess work right now.

I like all of the ones others have metioned so far, but I've got to add SCV '97. The way the visual and music "pushes" coincide in those last few moments is just extraordinary, IMO. ~oops, somebody already said it before me. :)

I'd be fascinated to find out how many people could fill in 3 or more of those. Anybody out there who is marching senior corps, has a kid in a corps, and was formerly a member of a junior corps, for example?

There was all kinds of movement last year from June to August, for just about every corps in the top 12. Not sure where you guys get this stuff from. Barely 2 weeks into this season with corps competing on other sides of the country still. Wow.

I didn't care much for most of last year's shows, but I really like a lot of them this year. And music is by far the most important thing for me. Hope the corps shape up to your liking, Studio. :)

Are you sure you're not an anti anti-Borg? Big difference between the two. :lolhit:

The Borg metaphor works both ways. There are also those who blindly hate particular corps, and become extremely defensive whenever someone tries to say good things about that corps. I've taken to calling people like this who happen to hate the Cadets the "Anti-Cadet Borg." I'm sure there are anti-Borgs for a lot of other corps too, though. :)

BK '99--Partita for Band. Amazing arrangement. A very close second is Phantom '93.

Not sure if anybody responded to this yet, but the above has nothing to do with the Cadets not putting out an APD. There's a whole other thread devoted to this.

I didn't think I'd like it either, but I just listened to their show for the first time a few minutes ago, and I think the ballad sounds very very nice, and the vocals add to it a ton. Kind of reminds me of the closing credits of Apollo 13 with Annie Lennox. I will say that I don't really care for all of the rest of the vocals in their show, though. The rest of the show sounds pretty good, too. Not so sure about the championship being a lock for them, though. I've also heard BD and the Cavies. I only really like the jazzy part of the Cavies show, but the whole thing sounds pretty good and has lots of potential. Same with BD. We'll see, I guess.

I just listened to their apd and thorughly enjoyed it. The opener is the same piece as BD's '97 closer. Both Ginastera pieces sound great, especially the Malambo from Danza Finale...a very nice take on a piece that Phantom ('93) and BD ('99) did as well (though I still think Phantom's version of it is about as good as drum corps can get :) ). And I've been looking forward to somebody doing his Harp Concerto for awhile. The Morricone piece is timeless and beautiful. Overall, a nice musical show with lots of room for growth. :)

Ream and the rest of the anti-amp borg are going to have a field day with this one. And I don't blame them.

You're not the first person to be called out for trolling, and the Cavies aren't the first corps to be the target of trolls. It's pretty easy to post your thoughts with brutal honesty without being obnoxious. Instead of playing the victim card, just use a little (not a lot) more tact in future posts. We all have pretty short memories. :) Or don't, and expect more of the same. Just a suggestion.

Though we don't know for sure it's amps that caused this, I agree with you Matt.

They're playing music. It's the latest thing from Europe.
