  1. Is no one going to bring up that the Director of USBands resigned on Friday... in the middle of band season... via the most scathing, bridge-burning letter that I think I've ever seen? If half of the stuff alleged is true... GH is a very bad person. No one?
  2. They do not exist. George will hire people who "kind of" fit the bill and then they'll either quit from burnout within six months or he will fire them inappropriately.
  3. wtf 7th; maybe 6th. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
  4. Sorry, I didn't mean to come off as critical of those people. The point is that the turnover at YEA is abnormally ridiculous, partially because of the low wages and the fact that you have to work for George. This position is enough work for at least three people.
  5. That doesn't mean that this job is a good value.
  6. https://yea.org/news/1761-cadets-begin-search-to-add-staff-to-drum-corps-admin-positions Give your life to GH for "in the area of $50,000"?!?!?!
  7. It's just what we do. In uniform = on stage.
  8. Every time you hear a crazy staff rumor, remember this: NO ONE WANTS TO WORK FOR GEORGE. So, either the rumor is ########, or if true, George has agreed to take a step back.
  9. Well, that and the tenth place horn book.
  10. Not to toot my own horn, but... I'm tooting my own horn.
  11. The best place to eat in Indy is in the airport before your board your flight to Indy.
  12. When management has to tell the workers to "trust the process," the process sucks 100% of the time. It's time for the alumni to actually get off of our ##### and do something.
  13. good lord, George is cringefully unaware of himself.
  14. DCI East was at Franklin Field for a couple of years in the early 00s when JBC was being renovated. Franklin Field is LOUD.
  15. Can somebody tell me if we are contractually obligated to play Bernstein next year?
  16. Right. We're probably a sixth place corps with an eighth place show that has a chance to finish as high as sixth. The color guard has been wildly inconsistent and for anyone to imply that this judge "has it in" for us is a case of misplaced vision.
  17. Last three guard scores: 17.7, 17.6, 18.0 (tonight) and just 0.80 behind BD, down from 1.2 in North Carolina. It's not the judges, man.
  18. what if the color guard just isn't that good?
  19. What objectively leads you to believe that we are "catching on?" This year's program would have been mid-tier even 10 years ago.
  20. I am having a hard time accepting that our corps is in 7th or possibly 8th place.
