I wouldn't quite say that high, but I would agree and say it's far too high than it should be. I definitely didn't mean to imply it was only a SoA issue, but a large part of drum corps has this problem.

Really? Why?? I understand being secretive, but that's a bit ridiculous. If they're going out of their way and spend money for a cool, stylistic video, why leave it up to the fans to figure out which costume is the brass/guard/etc? In what way does not showing which group is wearing what benefit them? I totally get leaving out information to add excitement, but all this does is confuse and cloudy up the clear vision that they have. I see it more as a lost opportunity than a gained one. Let's say someone saw that and assumed (because that's all one can do at this point) that the hornline is wearing the uniform on the left. Then the hornline shows up in the one on the right... the hot pink one. How on earth does that help SoA? This is a perfect example of trying to get too cute with things. In the end it isn't going to ruin the corps or have them gain/lose a spot. In fact I'm really rooting for them to make it back into the Top 12. Moves like this just make me scratch my head. A good decision shouldn't have to be explained.

IMO Spirit's release is the example of a poorly conceived uniform release. Here's why: I have zero clue which uniform is the corps, which one is the drum major's and which one belongs to the color guard. Or are they uniform changes throughout the show?? They did nothing to distinguish between them. I cannot be the only one that is confused and in my opinion that is why this video was poorly conceived. I think I know which one is which, but I certainly wouldn't bet on it. I don't have a problem with the style because they look fine.

People talk about the show being dirty as if no other corps is having this issue. Of course they are dirty and there were mistakes. Let's not forget the small sample size. Perhaps they had an off night. I'm definitely not ready to say this corps is going to struggle this year. If there's anything we know about The Cadets, it's that the work ethic is still strong and alive. And now they finally have a vehicle can compete. The last few years- no corps would have won with those shows. Finally they have what appears to be a very united idea and they can clean it instead of continually rewriting and playing catch up. The Championship isn't tomorrow or next week. If this show is dirty and they are still within reach of the upper corps, they better be on notice.

That show was WAY ahead of its time. I love Cadets show that year,, but Star ‘93 has a special place in my soul.

There were years where the drumline was the weakest part of the corps. That's not being a 'hater', that's the truth. That being said, I don't think the performers were to blame. They did the best they could with what they were given and it's up to the staff to elevate them with teaching and the material. Last year was a huge step forward. The drum line was NOT the weak link any more and in fact they were one of my favorites to watch last year. If they win, it will be because they absolutely earned it. If they want to use it as a 'big F you to the haters' they're putting the hate in the wrong place IMO. The ironic part is if they win, they will have been chosen that by the judges, the ones that were the true 'haters'.

I'm a bit biased ;), but I agree 100%. Those uniforms are absolutely killer! If I were a member, I'd be psyched to wear those. Standing ovation for the design team right now. Well done! If this uniform is any indication to the level of detail of this show.... wow.

WOW. I liked the reveal before, but I've gotta say I absolutely love those. Even the guard uniforms are killer. The design team wasn't playing around, that's for sure. Those are professional, look spectacular and seem to fit the theme of the show perfectly. If this is even the slightest indication of what's to come for this group, I couldn't be more excited.

Finally! Looks awesome! I wish there was a shot of the full uniform. It looks like the pants have have that grey pattern as the stripe? Kind of hard to tell. From what I can see, I really like what they've done. It's a great way to link the past and still have a modern look. I'm really looking forward to seeing them on the field.

The Cadets Instagram account said that the full uniform will be released at noon. Cannot wait! Also, is there going to be any live streaming for the show tonight?

Cadets leaked another photo. This time with a sequin cross. Is this possibly the guards' uniforms? Or the 'queen' character?

Either Lady Gaga has found a way around the age limit or she's getting paid to be a drum corps uniform model. It's pretty obvious she will be one of the vocalists due to the microphone. I've heard she is pretty good, but her vocals overpowered the hornline because they had the amps too high.

No amount of drugs will make you play an instrument better or make your dots. Unless the entire judging panel is taking them which is entirely possible.

I'll take the uniforms that I've seen so far over the ones from last year any day. The uniform reveals are still young, so I may retract this statement in a few days haha. Side note: I actually like Crowns unis this year. But... am I the only one to think that the hat on the guy on the right is just too big?

Well since the show focuses around a Victorian style queen the costuming makes perfect sense.

So I’m still confused how Crowns video about props has anything to do with the Cadets uniforms for this year.

Not sure what Crowns uniform reveal has to do with The Cadets... unless they are wearing the same thing.

To be fair, those props were created under a different show idea, so who knows how good/bad they would have worked under the original intention that they were created. That being said, I thought they did okay with them. I did like the moment where the brass were spinning on them while playing- was a pretty neat effect. This year- totally different and sounds like the props are going to be awesome.

That's quite the statement! From the DCI Fieldpass podcast, the props were mentioned. It was mentioned how huge the props were and certainly play a large role in the show. I like when props are used the right way and hate when they are used just to add props (ala Crown last year). By the way, I'll take any vague rehearsal observation anyone has haha.
