  1. From Blue Devils website: Last score announced: Blue Knights - 87.40 http://www.bluedevils.org/programs/a/2005/...?event=quarters
  2. I agree. But I don't wont to be smashed for being a homer. I also really like 1986 (I think) when VK did the James Bond show.
  3. I haven't read all the post because I don't have time. I would like to share a story... In 2001 at the Indy morning show: During the end of the opener, Rhumba, the contras were going backwards and one of the contra players triped and it caused a ripple effect. If I remember correctly, the entire contra line except 3 fell to the ground. They recovered nicely. At the time it sucked, but it was very funny when we saw it on tape later on.
  4. Might as well keep it going. Bluecoats - 87 Autumn Leaves *I like 87 better, but 88 has the cool part when the gaurd members use sops at the end of the show.*
  5. 2002 QTR - Finals BAC QTR Score: 91.950 Finals Score: 92.40 Phantom QTR Score: 93.200 Finals Score: 92.40 Boston was 1.2 behind Phantom and in a 2 day period closed that gap. I understand it is late in the season but some corps get that late season push. Being 1.1 with a week to go is not as huge of a gap as you think. 1.1 is not a safe margin any longer with a week before finals. To say they aren't "close" is a mistake. Especially if the BD members think that. But I know that there staff wont let them forget whos on their heels.
  6. Just curious when has 1.1 down from a corps not been close? I'm not going to predict the Coats are going to pass BD, but to say they aren't close seems really funny. The coats are right with them in all music captions.....and they have possibly won more music captions head to head this year.....the only thing BD has going for them is that they are cleaner. I have not seen BD, maybe someone can help me with this, but I doubt they have the field coverage or move around as much as the Bluecoats. If the Bluecoats clean a little more, they can pass or shrink the gap between the 2 corps. But thats all a mood point, because the Coats aren't even close to BD. *Sarcasim*
  7. It's no coincidence that the Bluecoats started holding texas camps and ever scince they keep getting better and better year after year. Holding the camps in Texas allows prospective members who could or would not fly to Canton have a chance to make the Coats. Other wise, those texas kids may have drove to Cali.
  8. Recap is up on DCI. Seems as Bluecoats still need to keep cleaning. The visual scores seem to be seperating BD and the Coats.
  9. Unless your in first, everyone one thinks they are getting screwed. In reality, Boston doesn't have a show that can pass any of the top 7. And they will be endager of getting passed by Blue Knights and SCV on finals. I am glad to see the Bluecoats so close to BD. When I talked to the members last week, they really think they can catch them at finals. Should be fun to watch. Suprised to see Spirit so close to the Glassmen. I personally like the Glassmen show better. But I haven't seen Spirit in a few weeks. They must be executing very well.
  10. AKA Peaking before finals. If you look at some of the threads earlier in the seasons, alot of people said this show (Madison) would peak because it was too clean to early, etc.
  11. I am just going to throw this concept out. In football and basketball the game has changed. The athletes are more talented and athletic. They are faster and can jump higher. Stronger and smarter. My point is this, the same thing has happened to corps. The marchers have developed so much that there is so much asked and demanded of them that the show concepts are very demanding. A show in the 80's and 90's wouldn't be able to compete with any of todays shows. Not so much because of music, but because of the visuals. Old drum corps drill reminds me of modern BOA drill (please don't bash me). If the Cavies did any show of 2000 - now, they would have creamed any corps visually back in the dya. Anyway, enough ranting. I hope everyone can understand what I am saying.
  12. Not for sure about tonight, but last night it was a loud ending.
  13. I am very impressed with Phantom's show this year. I really love this show. A quick queshtion though: Is it uncommon for Phantom to have a male in the gaurd? I am not a huge Phantom fan so I don't know a whole lot about this. Anyone who can enlighten me, I would appreciate it.
  14. If you mean ridiculing as in giving a review, I don't think you will ever see any of his review say they sucked or there junk. His reviews are based on his education of drum corps, not his personal beefs with one corps or another.
