Heh, and Cavaliers percussion was only .1 behind Bluecoats tonight in percussion. Guess they got ###### off finally. :P Madison is maybe starting to eliminate some of that dirt. ^OO^

My only complaint is that the Cavaliers' pit was too #### loud. Maybe it's just me but I thought the volume was a bit too high that night. Other than that, I enjoyed them all a TON. ^OO^

Yea I didn't think about that. I'll venture a guess and say they come out looking good.

Heh, yea I REALLY like their low sound as well and that was on a video recorder which usually has a pretty crappy mic. You can hear them though plain as day most of the time. Pretty impressive. Recent reports indicate that on the move they are pretty ragged right now and that they have a few injuries in the contra and baritone lines. Two in each from what I've read. No big deal though. Plenty of time to clean and heal up. :)

That would be it Matt. Walnut, CA on 6/24. I'm hoping this show does really well. I honestly think it can go VERY far but it's up to how badly this group wants it that will determine just how far it goes. Kurt(Alto92)has seen them rehearse earlier this week(I think it was, please correct me if I'm wrong Kurt)and says that some pretty BIG changes have been made. I'm hoping these changes will get them the points they need to move into contention. We'll see in time I guess. :) GO SCV!!!!!

Well, I don't believe that the Cavaliers are "falling" by any stretch as the title of this thread suggests. I can see where the original poster is coming from though I suppose. I can't say I like EVERY Cavaliers show musically this decade, but I do like most of them. That being said, there are obviously some I don't like musically. No big deal. I know they can't please me ALL the time. It just doesn't work that way. As for 2006, I have the APD from Toledo and like most of what I hear, even though it is FAR from finished. I'm look forward to the changes coming up and the cleaning that will take place. :) My main concern with this group(like many others)has been volume these last few years and not so much the musical selection. Jeff and the staff have remedied this though I feel by adding about 10 horns. They wouldn't have added them if they didn't need them I'm sure. :) Now they just need to push up the volume levels, expand their sound, and knock me backwards while they're cleaning. If they do that, then I will be VERY happy indeed. :P

Yea me too. I'm hoping like #### they won't max out too early. :) 2000 was the last year that they didn't make the top 6 at finals.
