Thanks for the review. I understand there is a nasy, nasxty virus effecting many of the COLTS and many have been sick, out of rehearsal, to the hospital etc. That might explain a sluggish performance...although the kids have been sucking it up and going out and doing their best. Prayer is that they will get over it in time for finals week. Postcards? Yeah, everyone is saaying the same thing. DOn't know what's up or what they are going to do. haven't used them in two shows now.

NO. I don't think Colts are going to move over SCV...but I do think they have a shot at JSU, Glassmen and Crossmen, and I can't help but think that their order of performance is affecting their scores. JMHO

Has there ever been any thought given to some sort of "courtesy" or "DC etiquette" remarks before a show begins? I have been to a number of shows and at at least two of them the people were so noisy around us and completely unaware in regards to coming and going during performance that it made for a pretty unhappy night for me. When I pay $25 a seat for good seats, and the people around me are rude (even after being asked to be quiet) it gets really irritating. I'm up for some suggestions. People don't do that at the theatre, or movies, or concerts...so why drum corp performances.? Maybe because we are in a stadium and it reminds them of being at a sporting event. Thoughts? DCI Staff thoughts?

Hmmmmm....more of a distraction than half nude Carmen prancing around? oooo, sorry...that's PART of the show. My bad. I asked for opinions. Thanks for giving them... ^0^

I heard the Colts got those gigantic postcards on the field tonight and that they looked pretty cool. Anyone see them? Care to elaborate on what you saw. Travel to Dubuque, hotel, meals, etc. $500 Travel to Omaha, NE, tickets, meals, etc. $300 Travel to Columbia, MO., meals, tickets $300 Travel to Dubuque, hotel, meals, tickets $300 Travel to Pittsburg meals, tickets $300 Travel to Giants Stadium, tickets meals, etc. $200 Travel to Foxboro hotel, meals, tickets, etc $3,000 **This doesn't count money spent so #1 son can march with a DCI Corp*** Sigh.....it's only money...we can always make more...but kids and parents cannot have this kind of experience but a few times in a lifetime. And we are PROUD OF OUR KIDS!! YOU ROCK!! DCI ROCKS!! This is a great, great organization for musicians and guards !! My theme song? "What I did for love."

Well, my hope is that the COLTS do the edging...but my gut (which is substantial) tells me it is gonna be the Glassmen. Sigh....maybe next year Colts. But keep rockin', don't give up cause you never know till the fat lady sings. "Don't bother to agree with me, I've already changed my mind."

What do you think it would take for the COLTS to move into 12th?

I've been following this corp all summer. Seen them maybe 6 times in competition. I have NOT been on the road with them. So I was wondering if there were any fans out there who have ben travelling with them, or who have been talking to them to see what's going down? The show was so great, but the scores, well...not so great. What's going on withthem? Do you think they will make finals? And what about those postcards? Also, what do you know about their staff? Thanks, just curious and want to talk about the COLTS :)

Can you tell me if they were in the show Tuesday night? They broke 80....in SA and in AL. I just wondered if the cards were helping or hurting. b**bs

Well, I haven't seen them....but I heard they looked great. I know they didn't have both sides of each one done yet. People were ranting about being able to see them all too early. I think they are suppose to flip as each song is being played to reveal the picture. The other side is suppose to have postage address etc. I don't know...you're probably right. They probably are a pain....but I know they sunk alot of money around them (and created drill around them) so I would hate to see them NOT be used.
