Hello all,
I've written a new piece for percussion just published by Tapspace. It's a classical multiple percussion piece, but it's written with drum corps bass drumming in mind. I think you'll enjoy it!
Here's a link to the piece.
And here's a link to the piece itself on Tapspace. http://www.tapspace.com/Eight-on-3-and-Nine-on-2-pr-181.html
Please check it out!
Check out this podcast of two Cadet bass drum alums playing at the Eastman School of Music.

NO....After seeing them live and hearing the quarterfinal broadcast- I don't think they deserved it. I didn't even think they were top 3. I had Phantom, Cavies, Cadets then maybe BD.
Here are some links to YouTube. Videos from 1987. They are all pretty much from the Linda Hannum Tape. Great memories.

Wouldn't it be great....if they played a musical book....or if they played whatever they had clean...without just pounding the crap out of their drums?
Star '94 was supposed to do the Rite....but they didn't....for obvious reasons. That's really to bad- if there was a corps that could do to it right = it would be them for sure.
I know the Cadets haven't used a 32 inch in a long time, but they still use the big drums on top...20,22,24,28,30. In 1999 they switched to an 18 on top and went 18,20,24,28,30, but they went back to the 20" on top in 2003.
