Good point BDUFLS and I imagine with the great talent they have each year, the marching members enjoy doing something less vanilla.

You might be referring Mike to the original "Ghost" who I marched with in the mid 60's. Believe he came to Boston from the Cambridge Caballeros with House (bass drummer) and several others. Ghost would go on a 7-10 day road trip with one average size gym bag.

Congratulations on another great year for the whole organization. Everyone involved must be commended on staying the course when the input from some was not very positive. Because of the confidence the BD family has, which I admire, let me present a challenge. Go out in 2011 and present a more traditional Drum & Bugle Corps show. Doesn't necessarily have to be of your all-times musical hits, but something where more of a song is played and probably in your face. Prove to the fans that you can still win it all without props, but with a standard show that will leave everyone wanting more. The only problem might be the judges! Best regards, Ghost

Was also part of the 'Saders in the upper section. It's only a minor point, but I recall the Trooper asking how to get to the top at which the response of practice was yelled down. A great AL Nationals with the top six Juniors and Seniors. Believe that was the year when the Skyliners trashed their hotel after losing to Hawthorne.

Have always wondered why more corps (staff), especially if a medal isn't on the line, didn't do something at finals that would really be appreciated by the audience. Maybe the 'Saders will finish tonights ending by playing conguest to the end. Might be enough tenths earned to keep Madison from saying BAC won the battle (Challenge), but we won the war; 9th place.

Doesn't matter what the activity is. If you don't like one group dominating, you're implying you do not like anyone always being at the top.

Believe Giant came from the movie of the same name. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant_(film) Can not provide an actual time frame when the corps used Giant as the music for the corps song. I know it was in place in 63. Also, here are the corps that have played Conquest, with BAC first playing it in 69. It may have become the corps signature song as the corps continued to play it and had some lean years in the 70's.
