Who here is going to the drum corps finals this year?
FrankA replied to En929's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
I'll be in the lot Friday night, and in the show Saturday! -
How many seats do you have? If you have four for Finals, I would be interested.

I understand most corps will make some drastic changes, but Holy Name has the most potential in the show. When I was watching them rehearse, the staff was making changes left and right. The kids were keeping up, and performing them perfectly already. They could easily make BIG changes, and have it performance ready quickly.

Phantom, Boston, and Blue Stars

Phantom changed approximately 60 sets of drill before Atlanta in one rehearsal day. They should be able make the necessary visual changes in time, and clean what needs to be clean. -
I voted for Holy Name. I was at a rehearsal earlier this season, and these kids are incredibly talented, and know how to work at a rehearsal. I think this show has a lot of potential too, and wouldn't be surprised to see some exciting last minute changes/additions.

I think he is stressing that BD was undefeated (as they are now) until Quarters in '95. They lost a few shows leading up to Quarters last year.

I still don't think it gets any better than the final minutes of '84 Cadets.
-
I think the Wings did, in the 2nd round this year.

Gary Bettman is the commissioner of the NHL. Sidney Crosby is the captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

I'm pretty surprised I'm the only one who voted Phantom for favorite show. I understand the visual book isn't up to par, but I could listen to the APD over and over again. I love the first two movements, and the swing sections is a lot of fun to listen to as well.

Smooth peanut butter??? Eww.... -
Dutch Boy is the whole reason I'm going to the show! Can't wait to see my buddy who I marched all winter with.

How much of the show was BD in the chairs? BD was nailing every single set tonight. The extremely difficult sets late in the show looked perfect. They are on fire visually, the chairs had nothing to do with it.
-
I don't see why. BD was moving faster than anyone else tonight. Every set was nailed and easy to read. How many chairs did you see knocked over tonight?
-
Excuse me, but how is this any easier than Crown drill? Everyone seemed to be making that point earlier.
-
ZZZZZ.....

They re-wrote 60 pages of drill last week.

Some musical issues just now, but what a finale! I'm pulling for Troop to make Saturday night!

I love your quote of "Real Ska". Big Chris Murray fan here.
