  1. Fusion Core will be there! and we're hoping to "Change Perceptions"
  2. I'm just gonna throw this out there in case anyone can help. Fusion Core Drum and Bugle Corps finds itself with more tenor players then we have drums. We are looking to borrow one set of black Yamaha tenors sizes 10-12-13-14 prefereably with two gock drums. We were able to borrow a set, but they are the smaller sizes and our others sets are the larger sizes. If anyone has these drums and can loan/rent them for the summer, please let me know as soon as possible Thanks! Joe Itkor

  4. Andy, I don't understand what my comment had to do with Holly or Ralph. My comment was not only my own, but was niether pro or against the Skyliners or any other corps. I just thought that regardless of what a person's opinion is, he should be able to express it. If you have a problem with me ... address me. There's no reason to bring Holly, Ralph or anyone at Fusion Core into this.
  5. Chris, I can loan you a pair or two for the fall, but I can't sell them as they don't belong to me. We don't have a cymbal line for outdoor, so after next weekend, they just sit until next indoor season. I think they're 18s, but not sure. Let me know if you want them and I can get them to you when I return your djembes! Thanks! Joe
  6. So much for being honest! Someone gives his OPINION, albeit an unpopular one, and everyone needs to bash him?!?!?! I don't get it.
  7. I loooove flyin under the radar!
  8. Feel Free to add Fusion Core to the list Here's a link to our show announcement! Fusion Core 2010 show announcement
  9. Absolutely Fran. I am THRILLED to be working with Carol again. In fact, the entire staff is a real treat. The amount of talent in that room was quite impressive. I for one, am really excited about the 2010 program!
  10. I know you're kidding, but I kinda like that design. Maybe we should switch! LoL ... NOT It was an OUTSTANDING day that far surpassed expectations in almost every section. A review, pics and the show announcement will be forthcoming Its NOT what you think!
  11. hmmm, that makes it sound like we're doing Rent. NOT come to the open house in just 9 hours to find out what the show REALLY is! we may just change some perceptions this year!
  12. With a team like this, how can anyone NOT wanna march! Come check out the Open House this weekend- DECEMBER 5 at Jefferson TWP Middle School Go to Fusion Core's Website
  13. its likely you can find a midi file of a work like that. especially since its in public domain. Any notation software will be able to open a midi file. It may be sloppy and need TONS of editing, but at least its a jumping off point for ya. Hope that helps.
  14. Not sure we'll have cymbals OR tuxes. You'll have to come to the open house to find out. I have a feeling we're gonna be changing some perceptions this year!
  15. I, for one, am totally pumped for this! Its gonna be a stellar year for Fusion Core.
  16. Fusion Core will announce our 2010 program at our Open House on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Jefferson Twp Middle School in Oak Ridge, NJ. If ya wanna know what the show is ... COME ON OUT!
  17. This is a great team! I'm totally psyched about the 2010 version of Fusion Core
  18. It doesn't matter what they're thinking. Its just NOT that!
  19. Me neither, Jenn. Its gonna be a great year for Fusion Core. It's NOT what you think!
  20. As an alumnus of the corps, I am VERY upset they cut the line. Those four young men and Pepper made great strides and all five of them worked hard to truly be Madison Scouts not just in name, but to actually live it as we all did. I am dumbfounded they would tell these men their services are no longer needed. I know they did the best they could in handling the situation, but frankly that's not enough to me. I was once told that "once you are a Madison Scout, you are ALWAYS a Madison Scout." Yes, they tried to find other positions for these boys, but frankly, Pepper and the boys are CYMBAL PLAYERS. That's their instrument and a pretty BAD A_S one at that! They contribute both musically AND visually. TO ME, and again its just my opinion, If you want to cut the cymbal line, you somehow wait until all four men have aged out. I find it very hard to believe in a corps of 150, we couldn't accomodate 4 guys and an amazing staff member! I am proud to call these men my little brothers and as far as I'M concerned they WILL never walk alone. I can't believe I'm saying this next statement because I am a FIRM beleiver we are who we are as men because of the BROTHERHOOD, but I am equally proud to call Pepper my little sister! The five of you, quite frankly, ROCK!
  21. Thanks guys! I'm totally psyched about this coming summer. We have some pretty cool stuff planned for the core. Keep your eyes open for some cool announcements in the next few weeks.
  22. Unfortunately, it IS true. Madison will be without a cymbal line this year. I first heard it directly from Pepper herself, then I contacted Chris Komnick for confirmation. They made the decision TODAY not to field a cymbal line. They are working hard to find other places for those four young men in our corps in hopes they remain part of the brotherhood. According to Chris, "This is primarily being driven as a function of major instrumentation changes in the horn line and the decision of the percussion arrangers about how best to orchestrate a competitive percussion book."
  23. If memory serves, at 80, this isn't even the biggest Cadet's hornline ever. didn't they use 84 in 1986?
  24. If you call Innovative Percussion and speak to one of their fantastic customer service reps, they may be able to tell you what mallets in their line would be similar
  25. That would make sense if the windows were ones that opened. they were not.
