based on this statement. BD has the exact same opportunity with music. great GE scores and performance scores are still "dirty" you really think the BD wont clean up their music? the sword has two sides homie

thank you! thats what ive been saying. Im not knockin the program cuz its really good. but everybody around here has gotten so cocky cuz of ONE show. if crown would have won last night. PR fans would be saying the same thing...that it was just one show and theres lots of time left for them to pass crown. why cant the same be true for crown ya'll. im not saying it wont happen im saying that its just not as much of a certainty as some people on here are making it out to be.

i agree and disagree at the same time. i agree that bd has a better show this year but im not sure about the PR part but that mostly has to do with them ruining mahler for me cuz that should never be played anywhere but an symphony concert hall but thats another topic lol.

well i am italian i do what i can lol. I just think its scary to talk like that after CC beat them just a bit ago...its not like they dont have the vehicle to do it again and im not saying it will happen for sure but we should just chill on that talk lol.

no because they sacrifice volume for a great sound. i dont like the cavaliers at all ( even tho my best friend's in the corps haha) but i LOVE their brass sound. They are the only corps that never goes to edge and thats including my beloved devils. the only sound on the field that i like more on the field is crown and its for the same reason. PR overblows...i hear it everytime i see them.

i hope phantom phans realize that carolina crown is still really nasty this year and just because they were behind last night doesnt mean theyre done fighting. It seems by listening to yall that every corps you pass is safely behind and will do nothing to get their spot back. pride comes before a fall ya'll (you'd think a show about the roman empire would remind you of this lol)

yes i agree but im mean everybody's scores are way too high i think. PR got a 19.1 in percussion which is also way to high for right now. but the judging will level itself off...hopefully without too much jumble in placements since the scores seem inflated all over the board

i think you will be the first person in a long time to say on here that BD is forsaking music for visual. Everybody always clowns cuz (man that brassline is amazing but they never move!!! all they do is park n bark blah blah blah) so im not buyin it.

So ( and im not saying i didnt like their show cuz i did and im actually not into crazy themes) but can i ask what is 3hree for a theme? and secondly what does it have to do with business suits for the guard. haha maybe it is cuz i was drunk as hell at denver but i didnt get the show from a thematic point of view. but great from a rip my face off point of view :tongue:

well it seems as if the years that BD wins that it takes an 80 to get in to semis. so heres hoping that it takes an 80 again this year :)

they would have had to beat crown by a point or more to beat crown last night because the caption is divided in half for its portion of the total score. They have been consistently beating crown in drums but not by a full point. so no PR wouldn't have won based on previous show numbers

well according to the pattern this entire season has set...im gonna go with bd for that one bob.

im not so cocky as to say it wont happen. but i will say state the fact that BD has been in this situation before whereas crown has not. so experience will play a large role in the next couple of weeks. also with a quote coming straight from dave gibbs himself saying the BD show was only 70% done AND they are still not at the top in all performance captions but rather effect (meaning that they ahve a great vehicle but are still dirty). im not so sure that peaking early will be a huge problem this year.

would it have really mattered that much. it was the same result as SA. its not like its completely out of the realm of possible being that it happened like 3 days ago.
