The San Antonio show consists of Cavaliers-loving bandos. Any applause you hear will, in some way or form, focus on the Cavaliers. Example: - Whomever is playing right before the Cavalier's performance receives a tremendous applause following their show. However, that applause is NOT for that corps. Rather, it's the sound bandos make when they go into heat over the Cavaliers. The "bando-effect" can most likely be attributed to two things: one, the Alamodome's proximity to Reagan High School, center of the bando universe, and two, the residual effects of the Bands of America Super Regional, which is also held in the dome.

Bad Points It wasn't FREE. Charging to watch a webcast ... what a way to promote growth within the activity...

:doh: Whaa! Whaa! I'm a Cavaliers fan. I cry like a baby whenever my corps doesn't win! :doh: You people need to lighten up. PERHAPS, according to the judges, the Blue Devils were just the better corps tonight. DCI has judges to evaluate the corps based on the predetermined guidelines. I'm sick of this "Cavaliers should always win attitude" I've seen so much of on these forums. Just because you roll around on the ground, do a 1980s robot dance or dance in a little box DOESN'T mean you're the highest quality drum corps on the planet. For the love of all that's holy can we please just judge the merits of the show? If the Cavaliers are as wonderful as everyone says on these forums by the time we reach Pasadena they'll be walking on water and raising people from the dead. But until then, just CONGRATULATE the Blue Devils on a well-deserved victory.

Texas Tech is a great Music Ed school, but from what i've heard, Tech has a great composition program. You should seek the teachings of Dr. Van Appledorn before its too late... and its getting late...

I really don't understand the opening, I mean, they don't play for like a whole minute into the show... oh wait, that was just a percussion INTRO into the show.
