  1. my favorite is probably 2007 I love the music in the '99 show - Celebration Suite 2005 percussion parts during the opening of the show are awesome
  2. hmmmm some great shows a few of my favorites 1981 (love the solos before Malaguena) 1983 my standard for Strawberry Soup 1986 hornline with balls 1995 emotion/great drumline/hornline (recordings don't do this show justice) 2001 my favorite horn ending to a show favorite percussion feature - 2000 overlooked - 1985 show, & 2002 drumline
  3. 2001 Madison Scouts hm to 1980 North Star
  4. who was there in 93?? Sanford?? I looked at the 91 recap today. I think at finals the brass had a 19.6 and percussion had a 17.2. Just watching that fan network video kind of shows how some things have evolved. The snares had their right elbows real close to the body, and the tenors were really high. I prefer BD's version better than Suncoasts.
  5. Hopefully this thread doesn't get moved to the Historical forum to die a quick death like the '91 BD video thread did.
  6. I just watched the first :45 about 10 times in a row I love the echo - tenors nice and clear. Soloist sounded better than he did at finals to me. One of my top 3 BD shows.
  7. Kind of ironic, I was just telling a friend, who marched 4 yrs. with Scouts today, that I thought SCV should have won in '88. Kind of think that the Scouts most certanly would exist today.
  8. I'm curious about the "poor design" I've never really liked his older version, but that is personal preference. What is poor?
  9. Interesting - http://news.madisonscouts.org/?p=180
  10. 82-90 Blue Devils 00 Cadets 98 SCV snare feature also, not really a feature, but the opening of '05 Bluecoats
  11. 277 pages!! Wow - I remember somewhere early in the thread there was a question about an over/under on the thread reaching 100 pages by finals. So much for that. Congratulations on a great season!!
  12. So, when is the semifinals video going to be available on demand??? I couldn't find out on the DCI site anywhere.
  13. I was away from my computer - and when my brother called and said the Scouts had beaten the Crossemen, I got a serious case of the chills. Congratulations on a great year.
